About IndySHRM

IndySHRM is the largest chapter of the internationally recognized HR organization, the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) in Indiana. With over a thousand members, it is our mission to engage human resource professionals by providing comprehensive and up-to-date resources and opportunities to build professional relationships that will enhance their effectiveness as HR leaders. IndySHRM is committed to advancing the human resource profession and the capabilities of all human resource professionals in Central Indiana. We’d love to have you join and become an active member of our IndySHRM.

About Our Membership

Membership includes practitioners in all HR disciplines and professional levels. Industries represented include banking, education, manufacturing, consumer products and services, financial services, technology, communications, insurance, legal, food, retail, healthcare, publishing, and many more. Membership is also open to individuals in for-profit and not-for-profit organizations as well as those providing consulting services. Additionally, IndySHRM welcomes student members who are preparing for a career in Human Resources. All memberships are valid for 1 year from joining date.

What Membership is For Me?

IndySHRM has a variety of different membership fees for different groups depending on if you're a member of National SHRM, if you're a student, or if you're in between jobs.




Non SHRM Member - $125

SHRM Member - $99 (renewal $75)


Non SHRM Member - $60

SHRM Member - Free


Includes access to the IndySHRM resources such as Job Board, Newsletter, Connections, and more.

Available to those who are still pursuing a degree and who plan to enter the HR field. More requirements are below.

A one-time offering to HR professionals
who are unemployed at the time of
membership renewal or enrollment.

Available to HR professionals who are retired from the field but still want to keep updated.

*Student members must be enrolled for at least a minimum of 6 credit hours per term (or equivalent), and be a member of their student chapter (chapter name and national SHRM number are required fields on the application). Once they graduate, they will be eligible to continue their membership with IndySHRM at the applicable regular member rates. Student members cannot vote or hold office in the Association. Student Members may participate in committees of the Board.

Our corporate membership is designed to provide discounted rates up to 40% for companies with more than 3 new members joining IndySHRM as members. Prices are per membership.

Memberships are valid for 1 year from joining date. All corporate memberships stay with the company if an individual leaves the company. To join as a corporate member, please call the IndySHRM office at (317) 841-8202.

Information on National SHRM Membership

Have You Heard About Our Flat Rate Program Option?

We are now offering the option to pay one flat rate to attend an unlimited number of IndySHRM programs for a calendar year (including networking events). The unlimited program rate is $175 for SHRM members, and $225 for non-SHRM members. This flat fee does NOT include your annual membership fee.

NOTE: The option to pay as you go for individual programs will also continue to be available.
