Jessica Stephenson, SHRM-CP, PHR

Jessica Stephenson is VP of Marketing and Talent for ExactHire, an Indy-based firm that develops software to help employers automate and improve their hiring processes. Her professional experience includes work in the human resources, sales, marketing and client services fields. A member of both SHRM and IndySHRM since 2006, Jessica was active on the College and Community Relations, Workforce Readiness and Communications Committees before becoming chapter president. She holds a B.S. in Marketing and a minor in Spanish from Butler University, and enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids, as well as volunteering in her community.

Leigh Crick, SHRM-CP, PHR
Past President

Leigh has over 10 years of Human Resource experience and has been involved with SHRM since she was a student at Western Kentucky University. Leigh has been a member of IndySHRM since 2007 and has volunteered with the College and Community Relations Committee since 2008. Leigh earned her bachelor of science degree in Human Resource Management from Western Kentucky University and is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) as well as SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP). She is currently attending Indiana Wesleyan University for her Masters of Business Administration (MBA).

Keisha Underwood, SHRM-CP, PHR
President Elect

Keisha is Senior Vice President of HR for Herman & Kittle Properties, Inc. She has nearly 20 years of HR experience and joined IndySHRM in 2000. Keisha is a certified SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) and Professional in Human Resources (PHR). Keisha joined the IndySHRM Board of Directors in 2013 as the Vice President of Membership and later served as the Director of College & Community Relations. She also serves on the Indiana HR Conference Planning Committee as the Bookstore Chairperson.

Jeannie Ambler Director of Sponsorships

Jeannie Ambler has 15 years of experience in Human Resources and has been active with IndySHRM for many years in different capacities, including leading the Central Programs sub- committee in 2019. She is a high-energy, innovative, and results-oriented HR professional who enjoys being a trusted advisor to leaders at all levels in her current role as an HR Business Partner at OneAmerica. Jeannie earned her B.S. in Organizational Leadership from the University of Indianapolis and is a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR). She enjoys exploring the downtown Indianapolis neighborhood where she lives, spending time with her friends, family, husband and two daughters, and volunteering with various organizations.

Maggie Carter
Director of College & Community Relations

Maggie Carter, aPHR, is the Human Resources Manager for Schneider Geospatial. Maggie is a 2013 graduate of Ball State University, majoring in Organizational Communications. Since graduating from Ball State, Maggie has worked within tech, starting at Interactive Intelligence (now Genesys) and most recently Kronos in Indianapolis. During her time with these organizations she has lead recruitment, employee engagement, and community outreach efforts.

Jordan Kinsler
Vice President of Programs

Jordan has over 12 years of HR experience and has been a member of IndySHRM since 2014.  Jordan graduated from Texas Lutheran University with a BA in Communication Studies in 2006 where she joined SHRM as a student member.  She started her career in the staffing industry recruiting for technical and engineering roles then transitioned to corporate recruiting for high-tech companies while living in Austin, TX.  While in Austin, she gained her SHRM-CP and PHR certifications. Jordan moved to the Indianapolis area to be closer to her husband's family and has since worked for Telamon Corporation in Carmel serving the telecommunications and automotive manufacturing industries. Throughout her career, she has gained experience in strategic planning, benefits administration, employee engagement, immigration, employment law and HR technology.  Besides HR, Jordan enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and dogs, is passionate about wellness and loves exploring new places and adventures in the Midwest.

Jennifer Lange, SHRM-CP, PHR

Jen has been in HR for over 18 years and obtained her SHRM-CP certification in 2015 and PHR certification in 2003.  Jen is a graduate of DePauw University and joined Old National Bank in December 2005 where she is a Talent Manager.  Prior to joining Old National, Jen worked at AUL/OneAmerica as a Senior Employment Representative and at Precision Machine as their HR Manager.  Jen has served on the IndySHRM board for several years formally in the Director of Certification capacity and has been a part of the Certification committee since October 2001; she is also currently the Director of Certification for HR Indiana SHRM.

Melissa Harding
Director of Communications

Melissa Harding is a Customer Success Director for HireVue, a Hiring Intelligence platform that transforms the way companies discover, hire, and develop talent with video interviewing and assessments. Melissa has 17 years experiences in a variety of areas of human resources. Currently, she works in the HR technology space providing consulting to other talent acquisition and HR executives. She loves how technology is changing and supporting our profession and uses the skills she has gained as an expert in recruiting, staffing and managed service programs. She has volunteered as an advisor for Indianapolis Economic Development group and now heads the Communications Committee. She moved to Indy in 2003 and holds a Bachelors in Biology from Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, VA.

William Dykstra
Director of Volunteer Management

William Dykstra is a Senior Talent Acquisition Consultant and Bancorp Officer for Fifth Third Bank. Prior to Fifth Third Bank, William as worked in several different industries included Healthcare and Real Estate. He has over 12 years of recruiting, retention and talent acquisition experience.

Jesamyn Sparks
Director of Workforce Readiness

Jesamyn Sparks has served Goodwill Industries of Central & Southern Indiana Inc. since 2013 as TalentSource Placement & Data Manager - creating education, training, and employment opportunities for individuals experiencing barriers to self-sufficiency. Those served include ex-offenders, persons with disabilities, limited education/work history, seniors, and the underemployed. Workforce services professional focusing on sector partnership development in high-wage, high-demand industries to build career pathways and ensure candidates are competitive in today's job market. Jesamyn holds a B.A. in Psychology and a Graduate Certificate in Counseling Skills from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, California.

Erin Brothers, SHRM-CP
Director of Diversity and Inclusion

Erin is the Director of Consulting Services with Purple Ink. She has 15 years HR experience, most recently as HR Director for the last five years in the professional motorsports industry. Prior to that, Erin worked in the healthcare industry for ten years. She started her HR career working with individuals with disabilities, helping them become gainfully employed. Erin enjoys the responsibility of all aspects of the Human Resources function for small single owner companies to large corporations. Erin’s bachelor’s degree is from Butler University. She earned her MPA from Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs with a focus on Human Resources. She also has a certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution from IU School of Law.

Alona Bahler,
Director of Certification

Alona has over 12 years of HR experience and has been involved in SHRM since 2010. Alona has earned her bachelors degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology and master's degree in HR Management from Purdue University. She is SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), and certified Six Sigma Green Belt professional. She is a regular volunteer for the HR Indiana Annual Conference. 

Suzanne Newcomb
Director of Legislative Affairs

A skilled litigator, Suzanne’s jury trial experience spans an array of industries including commercial aviation, hotel and hospitality, manufacturing, banking, nonprofit, and the public sector and she vigorously represents clients facing litigation through all phases of the process. However, whenever possible Suzanne uses the insight gained through years of defending businesses facing litigation as well as her earlier experience as a plaintiff’s side employment attorney, to help her clients spot and defuse potential problems before they become litigation. By guiding her clients through complex personnel issues in real time, Suzanne often helps them avoid litigation and quickly return to running their business.

Gerald Bush
Vice President of Membership

An influential and highly successful Emotional Intelligent (EQ) and Human Resource Consultant with several years of experience delivering consultative HR approaches with personal integrity, leading critical evaluations, communicating effectively across all levels of the organization, and managing innovative HR initiatives. Understand what it takes to conduct critical evaluations, develop consultative business solutions, and recommend programs that align with the mission and vision of a corporation. Continually demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to effectively convey complex information to business leaders across multiple locations.

Mark Records
Executive Director

Mark is president of MP Records Communications, an association management firm. He is a graduate of Ball State University, where he earned his MBA.
