December 2019

President's Pen

By Jessica Stephenson, SHRM-CP

Happy Holidays, IndySHRM!

I recently had the honor of attending the National SHRM Volunteer Leaders Business Meeting (VLBM) on behalf of our chapter. Every year, this learning event reminds me of the many wonderful resources that our partnership with National SHRM affords our chapter; as well as, the numerous benefits available to individuals who are not only members of our local chapter, but also of National SHRM.

In fact, a series of interactive tools are available to members online such as a

  • total compensation statement builder,

  • salary benchmarking tool,

  • performance review builder,

  • multi-state law comparison tool,

  • interview question builder,

  • employee cost calculator, and

  • COBRA notices generator.

If you're not yet a member of SHRM National, make an early resolution and join or renew now. Plus, here's an exclusive offer to join SHRM today and save $20 on your professional membership when you use STATE20 at checkout. Join online at joinshrm.org/value20.

I wish you the very best for the holiday season!

Warm Regards,

Jessica Stephenson, SHRM-CP
