August 2019

President's Pen

By Jessica Stephenson, SHRM-CP

Hello, IndySHRM!

It's one of my favorite times of year... the annual HR Indiana Conference! Did you know that our state conference is consistently one of the three largest regional SHRM conferences in the country? And, it has been approved for 14.75 credit hours for SHRM Certification and HRCI.

If you aren't already registered, join me and over 1,500 other attendees from August 12 - 14 to scale up your professional development, expand your network of contacts, and enhance your leadership skills!

Don't miss these highlights:

  • Amazing keynote speakers, including Michael J. Fox!
  • NEW! For an additional fee, attend a special Sunday Pre-Conference session featuring Butler University Executive Education, approved for an additional 2.5 credit hours. (This is a great way to preview the quality of content you can experience during IndySHRM's Fall BUILD leadership development program!)
  • You'll love the "Stars of the Silver Screen" exhibit hall theme in honor of the event's 25th Anniversary
  • Check out the full concurrent session agenda on the conference app powered by Whova!
  • There's still time to volunteer at the conference! Benefits include the volunteer lounge, the chance to earn additional credit hours toward recertification, a free gift AND a share of conference revenue earned for your IndySHRM chapter!

I hope to see you at HR Indiana!

Warm Regards,
Jessica Stephenson, SHRM-CP

Track your recertification credits with the SHRM Certification App

With the certification app, available for iOS and Android devices, SHRM credential holders can search and filter recertification activities by competency, date or location; keep track of them; and enter the appropriate PDCs! The app automatically uploads the PDCs you’ve obtained from National SHRM conferences, SHRM eLearning, and SHRM seminars etc. into your profile. The app will also notify you when you are ready to apply for SHRM Recertification!

The email address in your SHRM Recertification Portal must match the email address in your National SHRM Membership account for it to link up.
