President's Pen

By Jessica Stephenson, SHRM-CP

MAY we help you plug into all things HR this month?

It's May and it's great to see that the grass outside is a true green once again. And, as everything around us springs to life, there are some fun resources springing up in the HR arena, too. Let me break them down for you:

IndySHRM at the Track!

We're thrilled that Milestone Contractors is graciously hosting IndySHRM’s "Networking Day at the Track" again this year on Wednesday, May 15th, at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway!

Registration is $10 per person which includes a buffet lunch and 2 drink tickets. The suite will be open from 10 am-5:45 pm, with lunch served from 11:30 am-1 pm. Garage and pit passes will be available for all guests! For details and to register, click here.

Honest HR Podcast PDCs

Honest HR, a podcast from SHRM (which our Chapter's SHRM Field Services Director, Callie Zipple, happens to host), is back for season 2 with a gift for listeners >> professional development credits (PDCs) for listening to episodes! The episodes are each around 30 min, but Callie has introduced a miniseries with multiple episodes. Once you listen to all episodes in a miniseries, you can enter the PDC code, listed at the end of the final episode of the miniseries, in your SHRM recertification portal. It’s that easy!

Enjoy your month and hope to see you at the track!
