Description

The COVID-19 pandemic is forcing us to re-think telework. The reality is telework will likely continue long after the pandemic. So, what are employers in Indiana doing? We have recruited a rockstar panel of HR professionals to weigh in on everything from initiating and updating Telework Policies,  to engaging employees, overcoming hurdles and plans for the future.

Program is certified for 1 SHRM and HRCI credit.

Brea Dantin, Co-Founder, ProCourse Fiduciary Advisors

Brea is Co-founder and COO of ProCourse Fiduciary Advisors and has specialized in retirement savings and employee benefits for nearly 20 years. The retirement plan industry found Brea and it was the right fit from the start. Working with people and being able to coach those who need financial support feels natural to Brea. The challenge to get groups of employees on track for retirement is what keeps her going.

Brea is responsible for overseeing the operations program for the firm as well as advising retirement plan committees. Her diverse experience gives her an unparalleled pulse on trends in the retirement plan industry which she leverages to assist clients in improving their plans for both plan sponsors and participants alike. Prior to starting her career at ProCourse, she received her BA in Spanish from the University of Evansville and is a proud Indiana resident.

MeChelle M. Callen, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, Chief Talent & Culture Officer, United Way of Central Indiana

MeChelle Callen is a strategic leader with a passion to create an organization’s culture of excellence by guiding the growth and development of their employees.  MeChelle draws from nearly three decades of human resource experience in non-for-profit management, healthcare, real estate, and financial services to assist employees in reaching their full potential and assisting organizations in reaching maximum efficiency and productivity.  MeChelle has worked in both start-up and established human resource and employee development departments.  She has been instrumental in developing award-winning programs including:  a four-time Training Magazine Top 125 winner, a Brandon Hall Award for Excellence, and the Indiana Credit Union League Best Practice.

MeChelle serves as the Chief Talent & Culture Officer for the United Way of Central Indiana.   She earned a BS in Political Science and History from Ball State University, obtained her MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University, and is SPHR and SHRM-SCP certified.  MeChelle was recently selected to serve on UIndy’s Advisory Board for the Human Resource Development & Administration program, is a past board member of the Diversity Roundtable of Central Indiana and Past President of Association for Talent Development – Central Indiana Chapter.

MeChelle serves as a member of the Race & Cultural Relations Leadership Network, is a committee member for the Hendricks County Parks Foundation Gala, and volunteers with the Hendricks County Alliance for Diversity, Mama Bears and Free Mom Hugs Indiana. 



Sheena Seger, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, Human Resources Senior Manager, Toyota Industries North America, Inc.

Sheena Seger is currently a Senior Human Resources Manager overseeing the areas of Compliance, Benefit Administration, Payroll, and HRIS systems for Toyota Industries North America, Inc.  This includes working with more than 30 unique entities and responsibility for more than 10,000 North American Associates.  She has over 15 years of experience in all areas of Human Resources with a primary industry focus of manufacturing and professional services.    She has a BS in Accounting and Management from Indiana University, as well as SPHR and SHRM-SCP certifications in the Human Resources Field.


Traci Thomson, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, HCS, Senior Vice President of Human Resources, Emmis Communications

Traci Thomson, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, HCS, is Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Indianapolis-based Emmis Communications, named “Best Places to Work in Indiana” and "Best Companies to Work For" by Fortune. In this role, Traci serves as a member of Emmis' executive team. She has lead initiatives that support the company’s unique culture and focus on leveraging the company’s competitive advantage around attracting and developing top talent in their industries. She has played an integral role in leading the company through a period of significant transition over the last several years. Traci joined Emmis in 2004 and served as Compensation & Benefits Manager and Director of Employee Services before being promoted to her current role. She started her career at First Indiana Bank, and received her degree in Human Resources/Business Management with minors in Economics and Psychology from Indiana University.
