Managing HR Through COVID-19:  A Practical Guide for Employers

This presentation will help employers manage HR, legal, and day-to-day issues arising from COVID-19.  Among the issues that will be discussed:

  • Families First Coronavirus Response Act (Expanded FMLA and paid sick leave)
  • Maintaining a Safe Workplace (Cleaning the workplace, social distancing, hygiene, testing, face masks, and dealing with infected employees)
  • Liability Issues for Employers (Workers' Compensation, OSHA, ADA, and wage and hour laws)

Mick Terrell

Mick Terrell is a partner at Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP. He is chief employment counsel for numerous international and domestic companies engaged in various industries, including manufacturing, real estate, banking, construction, and education. He concentrates his practice in all aspects of labor and employment law, with a particular emphasis on prevention and defense of employment litigation. He also routinely counsels clients on day-to-day personnel issues and frequently provides clients with in-house training on an array of employment matters.
