A panel discussion focused on creating a culture that fosters high performance and innovation.

Engagement is on the rise but there is continual work to be done. Establishing a culture that fosters employee satisfaction and engagement takes effort. The panel will reference their own experiences and tackle difficult questions from the moderator and audience on the subject. Come learn how these companies overcame the challenges they faced to become top rated in Indiana for culture and social impact!

Nikki Lewallen - Moderator

Nikki Lewallen is an accomplished leader, business development pro, speaker and philanthropist. As CEO of Rainmakers, Nikki supports the Indianapolis business community by providing a platform for business growth through relationships. A natural connector of people, Nikki’s expertise in business development enables her to find and nurture strategic relationships that result in meaningful business outcomes. One of her favorite things is to learn new, authentic business development practices and teach them to others. Under her leadership, Rainmakers has served over 5,000 members to date.

As reflected in her leadership style, Nikki is an avid proponent of robust company culture. She believes that for people to succeed in business and life, it is necessary for them to find meaning in their work. Today, Nikki works nationally alongside CEOs, Presidents and key executives to build highly engaged employers. She has built a national network of the best HR and talent solutions to tie her gift of connecting to the resources leaders need to move the needle on employee engagement, ultimately helping more people “Love Mondays.”

Nikki is the show host for Gut + Science, a podcast that convenes key leaders across the globe to solve and innovate talent topics, building very best workplaces. The international show currently engages an audience of 30K+, weekly. Nikki is the National Chair for Engage Mentoring, an external mentoring program with hundreds of leaders who collaborate to help each other sharpen their skills on all things hr and talent.

Nikki holds a variety of non profit board positions around Indianapolis including Thrivent Financial and Purposeful Living INC. Rainmakers, as an organization, is committed to featuring local nonprofits at every event and giving back a minimum of 5% profits each year to important causes. Nikki believes that we all want to give back and Rainmakers serves as a platform to make it easier for people to get involved with a charity the pulls on their heart.


Miranda Nicholson - Panelist

Miranda Nicholson is the VP of HR at Formstack, a remote company with team members all over the globe. When she’s not nurturing Formstack’s award-winning culture, you can find her hunting with her family for the best tacos (and margaritas) in town.


Stephanie Newell - Panelist

Stephanie Newell recently joined ClearObject, an Internet of Things Innovator, Integrator and one of Indiana’s greatest tech success stories, as their Director of People & Culture. This role will allow her to build on her reputation as a people strategist & business partner enabling fast growth and a world-class employee experience for hi-tech organizations. For the previous nine years, Stephanie led a 12-person global human capital team for enVista, a consulting and software solutions firm, highly specialized in supply chain. During that time, Stephanie implemented HR programs that integrated new hires into the culture, aligned employees’ efforts around clear expectations, and maintained the Leadership Team’s cultural vision. Under her tenure, while responsible for the entire human capital management function, enVista grew from 70 employees to over 650 and was the recipient of multiple best workplace awards. Stephanie’s approach to human resources is heavily informed by her degrees in Psychology and HR Development. Prior to her work with enVIsta, Stephanie served as HR Manager for CrossRoad Engineers, and an
Assistant Project Manager for Purdue University.


Paige Bell - Panelist

Paige Bell leads talent acquisition efforts at Milhaus, a real estate development, construction and property management company for luxury multifamily apartment communities. Aside from recruitment, Paige has a passion for cultivating creative, meaningful employee interactions and strengthening company culture. In 2018, Paige started a talent-focused social group, Brew Talent, to create a unique network of local recruitment professionals to connect, share ideas and engage. A southside Indy native, Paige lives in her Greenwood with her husband and 2-year-old son. She enjoys spending time with family & friends, the Green Bay Packers and is a self-proclaimed French fry connoisseur.
