Description

In recent years, human resource organizations have begun to increase their emphasis on identifying and mitigating risks, whether natural or man-made, that affect a company’s performance and growth. However, in order to be successful in these efforts, a strong relationship must be developed and nurtured between the human resources group and their risk management counterparts.

As within any organization, the primary focus on risks is heavily directed towards the successful management of the human capital within a company. While this focus typically includes company-wide training and development, additional emphasis must also be placed on the roll-out of internal risk management policies and procedures. Lastly, a key component to support these efforts, which cannot be overlooked, is the inclusion of sound ethical policies that are developed, communicated and shared with all employees.

This presentation will identify the main risks within an organization, regardless of its size, and the subsequent roles that the human resources group and their risk management counterparts will play to mitigate them to help ensure a healthy workplace environment.
