I would like to use this post to officially announce the unveiling of our IndySHRM blog site.  This project has been a long time coming and serves as a key milestone for our organization.  Our brand initiatives over the past 18 months began with a name change, logo update and new website.  We then branched into the world of social media and blogging.  I feel like we are coming into our own but am also humbled by the amount of work I know we still need to do.

This blog site is for you, our members, to have a forum to express your ideas, provide great HR information and to share your expertise.  What this site is not is a job board or an advertisement page.  You will see that we have on our site a form for you to submit your post content for this blog.  While all posts will be reviewed and approved prior to posting,  the forum is open to all members who choose to participate.

You will see that by clicking on the title of any blog post, you are able to submit and read comments attached to that blog post so we also encourage participation in ongoing conversation around posts that interest you.  These comments are also reviewed and approved prior to posting but are open to all who want to participate.

Our Special Interest Groups also have blog pages on their internal web pages where posts on this main blog that are specific to their topic areas will also reside in an abbreviated format.  This helps those with a focused interest in IndySHRM within a SIG area to have a forum as well.

So, as I am sure we will have bugs to work out as we go, at least we are off and running.  Welcome and enjoy!
