In general terms, volunteering is the practice of people working on behalf of others or a particular cause without payment for their time and services. Volunteering is generally considered an altruistic activity, intended to promote good or improve human quality of life, but people also volunteer for their own skill development, to meet others, to make contacts for possible employment, to have fun, and a variety of other reasons.

IndySHRM has some fabulous volunteers that dedicate their time and energy to make our great association even better and for that I am truly grateful. We would not be able to continue to grow our offerings without the many hours that have been expended. IndySHRM takes pride in supporting our local community and recognizing the Professional Human Resource and Volunteer talent that exists in our backyard.

Nominations are open and I am certain you know someone that has significantly impacted the HR Profession or has dedicated their time as a volunteer and is deserving of our Annual Awards for the HR Professional of the Year and Volunteer of the Year. What better way to recognize a professional / volunteer than to nominate them for our annual awards, which affords an opportunity to be recognized nationally and attend the Indiana HR State Conference for FREE!

You do not need to be a member of IndySHRM to be nominated or to nominate a worthy individual.

Please honor someone today at https://www.indyshrm.org/about/call-for-nominations/.

Thank you!
