If you were able to attend the SHRM National Conference in San Diego this year, you noticed several trends… great communicators who focused on today’s burning issues, notable keynote speakers bringing relevant messages to the HR community and sharing their importance in our greater business economy, as well as excellent networking and idea sharing among HR colleagues around the world.

From August 16-18 in Downtown Indianapolis, we have the chance to experience the same type of format, topics and speakers right here in our backyard.  Don’t miss the chance to catch up on issues facing our industry and the businesses we support.  Participate in the many networking opportunities and the new HR Awards banquet on Tuesday evening.  Explore the variety of services and technologies available to our profession in the expanded vendor showcase center located in the Indianapolis Convention Center.  And finally, take time out to recharge your HR batteries by learning and connecting with many of the HR peers you haven’t seen in awhile.

As our yearly tasks and individual workplace strategies are our primary focus, we often forget we need time to build our professional education and skills.  The Indiana State SHRM Conference provides that chance to take a few days to rejuvenate and update our knowledge.  “HR Under Construction” is this year’s theme as we have all experienced a “rebuilding” of HR within our companies and communities.

Join us as we explore what’s new, what’s changed and those areas of our craft that we need to rebuild, re-establish and re-energize within our businesses and within ourselves.  To register and review the entire menu of speakers and opportunities, please visit www.indianashrm.org.

I look forward to seeing you at the conference.
