Diversity is playing a much bigger role in organizations today than in years’ past. Candidates want to know when interviewing what kind of diversity program you have in place and if your organization truly lives it or if it’s just part of your mission statement.

Diversity is still one of those topics people find tough to wrap their brain around. We know it’s more than EEOC requirements and quotas, but don’t really know how to approach it in our organizations.

Crown Services, Inc. says a diverse workforce is a S.A.V.E.Y. Workforce. A “SAVEY” diversity program enables organizations to realize strategic organizational goals through positive organizational change.

S- Seniors

A- Adults with disabilities

V- Veterans

E- Experienced workers

Y- Young adults

Crown Services is sponsoring their First Annual “Crowning Achievement” Award in September. This is a diversity award for employers who truly embrace and embody diversity in their organizations. Organizations can nominate worthy companies, including their own. Contact Jack Pomprowitz for more information and an application. jackpomp@sbcglobal.net.
